DPR Group is proud to introduce our 2019 summer intern, Hannah Belt.
This summer, Hannah has worked with our account executives and their teams to learn the best business-to-business (B2B) public relations (PR) and marketing practices for increasing clients’ brand awareness. She is responsible for pitching stories to industry media, writing blog posts for clients, transcribing interviews, tracking client hits and joining client calls. Hannah also has completed several online training courses through HubSpot, earning certifications in Inbound Marketing, Email Marketing, and others.
Working at DPR Group, Hannah is earning practical experience in the B2B PR field, as well as learning what it is like to work in an agency environment. The skills she is acquiring at DPR Group will give her the opportunity to further her career in the PR and marketing industry.
Hannah is a junior at West Virginia University (WVU) in Morgantown, West Virginia. She is studying strategic communications, with an area of emphasis in PR, and is minoring in marketing. She also is the Vice President of Internal Relations for WVU’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). In this role, Hannah is responsible for organizing all chapter meetings, including recruiting industry speakers and coordinating workshops.
Her experience in PRSSA has helped her better understand the industry and network with current and future professionals. Hannah also is a WVU Presidential Student Ambassador and is responsible for speaking about her experience at WVU to prospective students and their parents, current students and university administration.
Prior to her DPR Group internship, Hannah has also interned for EveryMind, a mental wellness nonprofit located in Rockville, Maryland. When attending WVU, Hannah interns with Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia, which helps community members and organizations establish endowment funds and scholarships. Hannah is also a research assistant in WVU’s Reed College of Media, where she works with college faculty to develop questionnaires and measurement scales for several research projects in the PR and communications field.
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Hannah enjoys reading, hammocking and spending time with her family, friends and dogs at her home in Thurmont, Maryland.
